About Mekong Delta
The Mekong River is one of the world's great rivers and its delta is one of the world's largest. Mekong Delta is known as one of the widest and richest delta in ASEAN; in Vietnam it is considered as the biggest granary of Vietnam. Besides that, Mekong delta is the place of different tropical fruits such as durian, coconut; banana, pineapple, dragon fruit… and when you come here you can enjoy the seasonal fruits all round year.
Life in the Mekong Delta revolves much around the river, and many of the villages are often accessible by rivers and canals rather than by road. The uniquely southern charm with its welcoming introduction to life along the river is the real draw, and visitors can explore quaint riverside towns, sample fruits bartered in the colorful floating markets or dine on home-cooked delicacies before overnight as a home stay guest. Other highlights include visits to local orchards, flower markets and fish farms. It's the highlight of this region to attract visitors.
Come here, you can see the region’s fertile land as possible, with orchards, sugarcane plantations, rice paddies, fish and flower farms jostling for space amongst bird sanctuaries and national parks. You can also enjoy the atmosphere of floating markets and the life of local people.
